duncan shoe house
Duncan Shoe House was established in 1962 by my grandparents, Holden and Frida Duncan. They decided to open the store after retiring from Cross Cotton mill. They worked several years with their son and daughter-in-law. When their son decided to leave the business, my Aunt Nina joined in and for the next several years they worked and built the business together.

Later, my mother Patsy joined them. The store became an icon in our small community. Everyone knew the store, my mother, my grandmother and my aunt. As a child I was always around the Shoe House, and as a teenager I worked there after school and on weekends.

the Truesdell FamilyNow, over forty years later, my husband Stacy and I own the store. With the help of our five children we're excited to further the business and watch it continue to grow.

As Duncan Shoe House moves toward its 45th year in business, we're looking forward to many more years of service. In particular, serving our many new customers via the Internet at www.duncanshoehouse.com.

We would like to personally thank you for visiting our new site. We hope you found what you were looking for, if not, let us know. Please our site and visit us again as we continue to expand our online inventory. Thank you.
